Need accompaniment without a CMT package? Tell our team your city, date, language and practical support needs on WhatsApp. Availability, duration, language and the actual scope must be confirmed for your request; accompaniment does not include medical advice.
The individual companion confirms the price and you pay the companion directly; CMT does not collect this standalone fee. Escort included in a CMT package is part of the package service fee paid to CMT. There is no public fixed standalone price; family escort add-on prices are not standalone prices.
Before agreeing or paying, ask the companion to confirm cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms in writing. Our team can help clarify the arrangement; CMT package cancellation rules do not automatically apply to a separate companion agreement.

Beyond the package
- Extra Chinese–English translation: doctor’s orders and lab reports only, CNY 260 per billable page, minimum 2 pages (CNY 520). Written imaging reports are translated free; original images are not translated or billed and we do not interpret images. Other documents require a staff quote. Free follow-up Chinese-to-English translation requires our team to verify purchased inbound translation, the same patient and this CMT-arranged visit to China. Package page quotas are unchanged.

Cancellation and refunds
- These rules apply only to CMT service fees; hospital fees paid directly follow hospital policy. Completed services are not refundable, except where we cannot deliver as stated below.
- Medical record and report translation: no refund after delivery.
- Checkup escort and other escort services: 100% refund when cancelled more than 48 hours before the service; no refund at or within 48 hours.
- After a booking succeeds: 80% refund of the booking service fee when cancelled more than 48 hours before the appointment; no refund at or within 48 hours.
- Package cancellation: apply each component’s rule separately to booking, escort and translation, based on the services already performed; a no-show is treated as cancellation within 48 hours.
- We cannot deliver (no escort available, or booking failed with no alternative): 100% refund; third-party costs already incurred are borne by us
- Rescheduling: one free reschedule more than 48 hours before the visit; within 48 hours, costs already incurred are charged
- Force majeure (visa refusal, flight cancellation, sudden illness) with valid proof: handled leniently.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7 business days after the cancellation is confirmed
How a package refund amount is worked out
Apply the relevant rule to the confirmed amount for each component, then add the refundable amounts. The booking rule does not mean 80% of the whole package price. Public package prices do not show a separate amount for every component; single-service prices are not a package allocation.
For a customer cancellation, for example, delivered translation is normally not refundable even if the visit has not taken place. Booking and escort are assessed separately under their own rules and the services already performed. The separate rule for CMT being unable to deliver still applies.
Before payment, ask our team to confirm the amounts assigned to the components. If you cancel, ask for the refundable total based on those amounts and the services actually performed. Hospital fees follow the hospital's own policy.

China Medical Tour provides medical tourism consultation and coordination services only. We do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or surgery; qualified medical institutions and their physicians deliver medical services. For Care Starter only, CMT collects the hospital registration fee separately at the hospital's actual price, without markup, and pays it to the hospital. Other medical fees are paid directly to the hospital or clinic. Our service fees cover the confirmed consultation and coordination scope.
